Self-taught, I started with computers in the mid-80s. Parallel to my studies, I’ve been working in the field since I was 16 years old, first as a freelance journalist, and then in an webhosting company. From those first experiences, I refined my adaptability. Since then, I’ve mainly worked in various Web fields, creating new solutions (software or architectures), both in R&D and SRE teams, as an engineer or a manager. Today, I continue my work to improve the internet as a manager. Useability, performance and security are my main focus in a more humane world.

CTO @ Oxeva

From June 2019 to June 2020

As manager of the R&D department, I’m leading the development of the next Public Cloud offering from Oxeva. Leading a team of 10, our main focus is the useability of the product prior to the number of features. When Gartner predict a global market revenue of 266 billions USD, we consider there is still plenty of room for new comers, focusing on their products, instead of building a new pure challenger for the Magic Quadrant.

CIO @ Actility

From February 2016 to June 2019

As a CIO, I’m tackling both internal IT matters and external infrastructure, providing hosting to our products at a global scale. My focus for internal and external platforms are:

  • scalability
  • security
  • performance
  • high availability
  • automation

I have to consider the global pictures, from the way we develop to the way we run our platforms. Changing the tool sets. The minds. The process. Migrating part of the team to a more DevOps role. One leitmotiv remains in any project: Security by Design as we are an Telecom Operator-like company.

New platforms and IS created:

  • Intranet based on Xwiki linked to other IS
  • CI/CD based on Jenkins / Artifactory / SonarQube / … linked to Docker slaves
  • Web hosting platform fully redundant and multi tenant
  • Global monitoring revamp from Nagios to combo Sensu / Grafana / OpsGenie / Slack
  • Automated deployment with Ansible and Jenkins (as a self-service portal)

Also, I worked on the compliancy for the ISO-9001 certification and prepared the ISO-27001 certification.

I had to built an IS&T team from the grounds to 10 persons, with various but complementary experiences and skills.
